Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican musician who was born into a musical family. Growing up, she listened to lots of traditional music as well as old Boleros. She also listened to traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana loves Tangos, opera, and every form of dramatic performances. After singing with her mom, she started more serious training in vocals at age 16, under the direction of the renowned Mexican tenor FlavioBecerra. She furthered her training in music in the School of Music of Guadalajara University and later at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. The beginning of her professional career saw her perform with many orchestras, chamber ensembles, and opera choirs in Guadalajara. After 2000, she emigrated into the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2007, she returned to her new home in Southern California. She has performed solo Latin American music for private occasions and is a part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. Ana is involved in a variety of local organizations and is a teacher as well as a performer due to her enthusiasm for art and music. Ana is also a past member of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana appreciates being able to share her love and enthusiasm for old-fashioned Latin American songs with others, and in doing so hopes to instill a sense of particularly among the younger generation in order to keep this music vibrant and alive.Viva Mexico!
